Chanticleer Hill Farm is located in suburban Maryland. Since 1996, we have been raising chckens, pigs, bees, etc. Recently, with the increased use of insecticides and hormones in commercial farming and livestock management, we decided to expand our farming activities to share our products with neighbors who, like us, want food that is chemical free, not genetically altered, and created humanely.
We gather eggs from our cage-free chicken, honey from our own beehives, vegetables and fruits from our own gardens.
While our entire operation, from field to table, is organic in practice, we cannot be certified organic without agreement of all neighbors in a 5 mile radius (the travel distance of our bees) to not use pesticides that can affect our bees and our operations.
We are registered and inspected regularly with the Maryland State Department of Agriculture, the FDA and USDA to ensure your confidence in the safety of our products and our practices!
